“This work started with a rubbing. Slowly a mountain began to emerge and a sun. I have become obsessed with mountains. Warm sun at dusk. Dry grass with seeds floating into the air. It’s may. A meadow overlooking the mountain.
The moon and mountains, I find to be the most abstract discovery to witness on Earth. These still giants like immobile protectors observing the land below. Complete stillness. Earth protectors. Sacred elders rising, enduring all weathers and remaining as still as they always have been.”
