So a New Moon is upon us tomorrow and I decided to take some down time before work and take a reading reflecting on the Past, Present and the Future.
After shuffling all my cards, I lay them down and hover my left hand over the all the cards slowly and pick the cards I feel something for.
This is a personal touch - a moment of reflection before reading. You can do this if you wish. Before you read the selected card for the past speak - The past is history. Before reading the future speak - the future is a mystery. Before reading the present speak - the present is a gift. Interpret your readings your own way. Find out mine this afternoon.
I like to read them in chronological order. As for what my cards read I will tell you. I won't do this always but this was my first New Moon reading.
The Past - discovering inner peace in self through self discipline. Each day lately I have been stopping what I am doing a been mindful and quiet for around 15 mins. I feel so much calmer. This is proven to have great health benefits - try to be mindful for 10 mins everyday. Leave your phone in another room. No distractions.
The Present - Knitting together ambitions through hard work and persistence with less distractions. I am always working hard and I have been focusing on as of late. My mind is forever busy.
The Future - Letting go of old experiences and embracing the new. I am good at this. Once I am done, I am done. Out with the old in with New Moon.
Today marks a new chapter in my own story. After being with Animal UK for eight and a half years, nearly four years in design and five years in retail, I decided that it is time for a new direction and new experiences. I am incredibly excited to start a new job and explore my art on a more personal level. Announcements about new projects will start in New Year. It's time to embrace the changing tides and I am signing off!
A long weekend in this stunning converted barn meant I found time to relax and draw nearly every day. Spoilt with an enormous log fire and more space than you could ever need, I had sunshine everyday, great food and great company.
The light on this bamboo chair - I wish I could have kept it for myself.
The most delicious vegan eats - Dates, pistachios and coconut raw triangles. I could have eaten this twice over bought from a local bakery.
Sunday morning walks to the stone beaches in the November sun.
