A new creative space has been born. A new home studio. I have been nearly glued to my desk chair ever since I finished our new space. Throughout the holidays, I found some pockets of time to design the dream study I have visualised in my head. I wanted a clean, modern, functionable space to work in. A place where I can make a mess but still be inspired and uncluttered.
As a visual person, I have to be surrounded by images. They are the driving force of my work.
The Shibori style dyed fabric is a little teaser into a new product that will soon be launching as part of The Aloha Collection.
Stay tuned for another The Aloha Collection lookbook part two very soon.
Here is where the magic happens. He is where I sit and write and draw. Here is where I breathe life into my work. Where art is made and where new lifestyle products are born.
I draw inspiration from everything and I work in reverse. I can already visualise where I am in the world, what I am doing - but what did I pack in my bag......? That's when my products are born. Much like my art, my products are normally, beach ready, salt inspired and surf essentials with a spiritual influence.
Art is like breathing to me. As much as a plant needs water, and I need air - I need art. It's like a life bar and when it's low I need to top it up and create art. Maybe it's ink that runs through my veins.....
This is just a small snippet of my world. More behind the scenes photos soon in my home studio and my creative desk space this month as well as the launch of some new products. This year is my year!
Take a look into some of my first products for my first personal range - The Aloha Collection.
