I have dreamed and searched high and low for a beach blanket like this but couldn't find one. So I took it upon myself to design and make it instead.
Made with a light cream natural cotton, paired with a shibori navy dye. No two blankets are the same, finished with a black Pom Pom edge. Shop now - click shop in my navigation bar at the top of the page or click the button below. I hope you love it as much as I do.
A few shots of a glorious local river close to my hometown. The light and shade amongst the roots makes my heart melt a little bit. Took my boys for a drive and got a bit and went wild swimming amongst the tiniest fish and swans. Summer isn't over till it's over. Starting to get colder mornings now though. Summer won't you stay a little longer...
Sunday is my day. Sunday is the day I crave. Sunday is my creative day, lazy day and everything day. I have worked all week dreaming of this morning to arrive . Saturday is full of hustle and bustle. But then comes Sunday. I wake up early always and dip into my Notebook and sift through all my ramblings I have made all week. Then I sit in my velvet purple chair (seventies) and create.
An explosion of creative flow happens and its utter bliss. Everything just happens on a Sunday. It's like all week I have been finding jigsaw pieces and I piece together the puzzle on Sunday and the cloudy image becomes clear. I once read "A Sunday well spent, leaves a week of content." True. I hope Sunday brings you everything your soul needs. Feed your soul and ignite your spark into fire.
It's August. It's a very cold 15°C at home here in the UK - which is not normal. So lately I have been craving some heat and dreaming of all that free time I had in Florida sitting under palm trees. Not forgetting Biarittz snapping pics of the beach and the local surfers. Take me back - or fast forward to a sunny day please. Here's some of my hand drawn typography paired with my photography. I think it makes a sweet sticky combination.... so you can buy this as a print soon. Click shop to grab one. Good vibes and prey for Summer to return to us.
I kept a travel diary whilst away with Animal UK on our research trip for WMNS SS19 Collection. To read my interview with marketing below click the link. Some of my work from my notebook that wasn't used in the article you can see below. Biarritz is a surf mecca - needless to say I will return next year for more travel, design and inspiration.
You dont have to add cream but your ice cream will more like a Coconut Crumble if you dont, but equally as delicious. Allow the ice cream maker to mix and freeze your ingredients. When frozen serve with mango and a dash of desiccated coconut to finish. Enjoy in a coconut bowl and truly get back to nature.
The Ocean is a big influence in my life. Once upon a time, the colour blue was my least favourite colour. It wasnt until I fell in love with surfing that my opinions changed. Suddenly the ecstasy of catching waves and the sight of crystal clear waters, that cover eighty percent of our Earth, changed my mindset about the colour blue.
Now I recognise the calm and serenity that this colour holds. These pieces of art are a tribute to my love of the sea and for anyone who shares the same love. Filled with texture, light and shade, these are limited edition works that are for sale individually. To discover my 'Aloha Collection ' click shop in the navigation menu.
Enjoy these images of my latest works.
