B Y A W I L D R O S E . . . .
After walking along my local beach I recently discovered this incredible animal skull which I plan to clean up and keep as an interesting feature to the study. A sad story, but an interesting find. I have been drawing animal skulls and bones for years as a part of my previous design job. I have studied whale vertebrae, a mammoths tooth, a megaladons jaw and a few bull skulls all for the purposes of Illustration, to name a few. I plan to put this on the wall of the study next to my mask from Morroco that keeps away bad spirits.
Another amazing find is something that my other half bought home to me. These are industrial lightbulbs and they are enormous! My plan was to take the tops off, open them up and take everything out and get some plants inside and watch them grow.
However upon taking the first top off we ran into some difficulties. Seeing that they were industrial lightbulbs, the seal and the tops were sealed really tightly shut, so we had to crack and hack into the brittle ceramic at the top of the lightbulbs. We managed to successfully get into one only to find that the lightbulbs were sealed shut again with a glass vacuum that was pretty much inpenetrable.
Somehow we managed to get into one lightbulb - the lightbulb exploded into itself, as it sucked air back into the vacuum chamber.
After seeing this happen, we decided to leave the remaining two as they were and simply hang them up in the bathroom as design features - minus the plants inside.
Join me again to see my Moss Wall come to life for the bathroom shortly - blog post to follow.
